Vinok Worldance presents Mardi Gras 2012

When? Feb. 18, 2012
Where? Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference Centre
             11727 Kingsway Ave Edmonton, Alberta

The spirit of New Orleans comes alive Feb. 18 when Vinok Worldance converts the palatial confines of the Chateau Louis Hotel & Conference Centre’s Grand Ballroom into the French Quarter for Mardi Gras 2012.

Last year’s festivities, in which participants took to the Carnival action of a Bourbon Street environment, turned out to be a thumbs-up affair, with Vinok’s take on the dance culture that permeates Mardi Gras. Everything from Cajun to Cape Breton and African to Spanish cultures were showcased in a veritable smorgasbord of music and merriment as well as as whole lot of fun and fancy footwork.

This year, the festivities continue in high gear. Back by popular demand is the gourmet-style food that also earned an enthusiastic response in 2011! The Chateau Louis kitchens will be percolating with flavour as they provide such carnival delicacies as gumbo and jambalaya at numerous stations in the ballroom to go with the cavalcade of song and dance.

Vinok encourages you to dress for the occasion, as the party vibe will be accentuated by the colourful costumes, as well as the requisite masks and beads.

A benefit in support of Vinok Worldance, the evening will also feature a fabulous auction with some priceless items most patrons won’t resist taking home.
